Erin Wyant, PT, MPT, Cert. MDT
physical therapist
Erin Wyant joined the staff of Teays Physical Therapy Center in 2001. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University. Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University.
Erin is trained in the McKenzie approach to mechanical diagnosis and therapy of lumbar and cervical spine pain and dysfunction, and Graston Manual Therapy Techniques. Erin serves as an APTA certified clinical instructor for PT and PTA students from various academic institutions. Erin’s special interests include orthopedic rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries and conditions. Erin was Employee of the Year for TPTC in 2003, and serves as the clinical coordinator in the St. Albans location.
Erin chose to be a physical therapist because when she was a junior in college and still had an “undeclared major”, they gave her tests that matched her personality with the best fit occupations. Her best fit: “Nun.” Once she decided not to convert to Catholicism she went with the next best thing, physical therapy. Erin loves to buy new shoes and take long naps.
