State Champions Winfield High School Boys Track and Field
Teays Physical Therapy Center, Inc. and The Putnam Herald would like to Congratulate Winfield Boys Track and Field on their State Championship!
Winfield Boy’s Track and Field capped off another great season with their second state title in three years. The Generals scored 123 points and had a 29-point lead on runner up Point Pleasant. “It was a great weekend. This team worked hard all year and really came together and stepped up in the state meet. Super proud of them all,” said head coach Shawn Anderson.
The Generals had 6 state championship performances: Chase Massey in the 100m, Justin Lipscomb in the 800m,1600m and 3200m, the 4x400m team consisting of Lincoln Haynes, Brayden Marshall, Justin Lipscomb, and Myles Gurnee, and the 4x800m team consisting of Landon Brumfield, Brody Miller, Trace Marshall, and Lincoln Haynes.
A strong senior class led the way for Winfield; Justin Lipscomb scored 32.5 points, Brayden Marshall scored 24.5 points, Landon Brumfield scored 21.5 points, Chase Massey scored 11.75 points, Luke Davis 2 points, and Carson Schoen 1.25 points.
